night shift - 12 hour shifts Summary of Position:
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) assists licensed staff in the provision of basic nursing care in the Medical/Surgical and Orthopedic unit, utilizing established policies and procedures, ensuring safe and effective careThe CNA demonstrates the skill necessary to meet the needs of patients served in the Medical/Surgical/Orthopedic unit through support of the nursing process; collects patient care data, reports findings, and assists team to meet patient care goalsThe CNA is under the supervision of the licensed staff of the unit and reports to the Nurse Manager or designeeThis position description has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by employees within this classificationIt is not designed to contain or be interpreted as a comprehensive inventory of all duties, responsibilities and qualifications which may be required of the employee assigned to the positionQualificationsEducation:
oCompletion of nursing assistant program
Experience:
oPrevious nursing assistance experience and/or completion of nursing assistant program required.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
oProvides personal care assistance to patientsoCommunicates appropriate information regarding patient safety and infection control to RN or nurses manageroDemonstrates a working knowledge of regulatory and licensing standards and ensures that practice is compliant with standardsoOperates within the confines of his/her scope of practice as determined by the knowledge, skills and ability obtained through job-related education and training and as approved by all governing, regulatory and, where appropriate, licensing authoritiesoHighly effective written and verbal communications skillsoProficient computer skills as are required to document, communicate and enter information into the electronic medical records system.
oRequires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and ability to work with minimal supervision.
oMust be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
oIn compliance with patient safety standards, must be able to effectively communicate in English; Bilingual abilities preferredCertifications/Licensure:
oCurrent CPR/BLS certification by the American Heart Association (BLS for the Healthcare Provider) or ability to obtain prior to start date oCurrent CA Nursing Assistant Certification or provide proof of passing California certification process prior to start date.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
